Oman hosts negotiations between Iran and USA

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi announced that the Sultanate of Oman hosted today in Muscat both Iranian Foreign Minister Dr Seyed Abbas Araghchi and the US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff.

The visit is part of Oman's diplomatic efforts to bring viewpoints closer and launch a process of dialogue and negotiations between the two countries.

In a statement shared on his official account on the platform X, the Minister said the meeting was held with the shared goal of reaching a “fair and binding agreement.” He noted that the sessions took place in a cordial atmosphere conducive to constructive dialogue, enhancing  the chances of achieving security, peace and stability both regionally and internationally.

Sayyid Badr added: “I would like to thank my two colleagues for their commitment to this path. We will continue working together and intensify our efforts to help achieve this goal.”

This step aligns with Oman’s approach of supporting dialogue and advancing effective diplomacy to resolve conflicts and build bridges of understanding between nations.
