Oman condemns storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Foreign Ministry has expressed Oman's condemnation of the storming of the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem by members of the Israeli government.

In an official statement, the Ministry said the action represented a provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world and constituted an incitement to further escalation in the region.

The Foreign Ministry renewed its call on the international community to assume its due responsibilities in condemning and deterring all violations that contradict international laws and conventions calling for the preservation of religious sanctities.
