Oman condemns Israeli occupation forces’ targeting of Jabalia camp in Gaza
The Sultanate of Oman has condemned the targeting of Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation forces, which led to the deaths of dozens of innocent civilians and left many more injured.
In an official statement from the Foreign Ministry, Oman said that the continued, indiscriminate and brutal aggression by the Israeli occupation forces against the Gaza Strip and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories, constitute war crimes and a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
Suck attacks targeting public facilities, killing civilians and placing the population in a state of siege were a heinous aggression against humanity, it added.
In the statement, the Sultanate calls on the international community and the UN Security Council to put an immediate end to these inhumane practices against the Palestinian people.
It reiterated that the Palestinian people are only demanding their legitimate rights as approved by resolutions issued by the UN Security Council. The statement called for the return to the Palestinian people of their occupied lands, so that they can live in freedom and dignity within a two-state solution.
