Oman condemns Israeli aggression at Tehran Conference
The Sultanate of Oman took part in the Tehran International Conference on Palestine, which was held in the Iranian capital, under the patronage of Dr Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Sultanate’s delegation was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs.
In a speech to the conference, Sheikh Khalifa reaffirmed Oman's stance of condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, demanding the immediate cessation of hostilities and allowing the entry of humanitarian aid.
Sheikh Khalifa said Oman rejected all the reasons and pretexts being used to justify Israel’s continued genocide of the Palestinian people. He said the Israeli aggression exceeds the norms of reaction, principles of international law and humanitarian values.
The conference discussed the repercussions of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and reiterated support for the Palestinian people in securing their legitimate rights and establishing their independent state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
