Oman condemns brutal Israeli bombing of Gaza school
Oman has condemned the brutal dawn bombing launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Tabeen School which was housing displaced people in the Al-Daraj area of the Gaza Strip.
The bombing resulted in the deaths of more than one hundred Palestinians and the injury of dozens of unarmed civilians in a new heinous crime committed against the Palestinian people.
In an official statement, the Foreign Ministry affirmed that targeting schools and civilian facilities constituted a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and legitimacy resolutions.
It renewed its call on the international community to take immediate action to stop these blatant attacks and to work to protect innocent civilians, hold the occupation forces accountable and impose international sanctions on Israel.
Oman also reiterated its firm position on the Palestinian cause and the right of the brotherly Palestinian people to defend themselves and establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with the provisions of United Nations Security Council resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
