Oman celebrates National Day in New York, Bahrain and London
The diplomatic missions of the Sultanate of Oman in New York, Bahrain and the United Kingdom celebrated the 54th Glorious National Day in a joyous atmosphere, in the company of high-level officials and diplomats.
In New York, Oman's Permanent Mission to the United Nations organised a reception attended by Khalid bin Saleh Al Rabkhi, Deputy Permanent Representative, and several prominent figures, including Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Dame Barbara Woodward, the UK's Permanent Representative to the United Nations. The event saw wide participation from Ambassadors, diplomats, consuls general, and business leaders.
In Bahrain, the Omani Embassy hosted a celebration under the patronage of Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, and in the presence of Sayyid Faisal Hareb Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman's Ambassador to Bahrain.
The event was attended by a large number of Bahraini officials, Ambassadors, heads of the Shura and Representative Councils, as well as Omani students and residents in Bahrain.
In London, the Omani Embassy celebrated under the leadership of Ambassador Badr Mohammed Badr Al Mantheri. The event was attended by Lord Coaker, UK Minister of State for Defence, along with members of the House of Lords and the House of Commons, government officials, Ambassadors and diplomats from various countries. Business leaders, academics, and media figures also participated, with a focus on the historic relations between Oman and the United Kingdom.
The three celebrations highlighted the achievements of Oman's Renaissance, its ambitious Vision 2040 and the strong bilateral relations between Oman and its regional and international partners.
