Oman at World Travel Market in London
The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will be exhibiting at the World Travel Market 2024 (WTM), which starts tomorrow (Tuesday) in London and continues for three days. Oman's delegation is led by Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism.
Oman’s participation in the exhibition will feature a pavilion showcasing thirty-two tourism institutions and hotel establishments, alongside strategic partners such as the Omran Group, Oman Air, Oman Airports, the Oman Botanic Garden, the Oman Across Ages Museum and the National Museum.
Haitham Al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, said that Oman's involvement in this significant international event is part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its position as a travel destination by highlighting the Sultanate's diverse tourism assets, which include natural diversity, rich heritage and a unique culture.
In a statement to the Oman News Agency, he said the Ministry aims to present its vision for sustainable tourism, showcase experiences that meet traveller expectations and highlight promising investment opportunities in the tourism sector. It also hopes to connect with key players in the global tourism industry and establish new strategic partnerships.
The event, he said, will provide an opportunity for direct meetings between Omani tourism companies and their counterparts worldwide, paving the way for new agreements and partnerships, attracting more visitors to Oman and increasing investment in the tourism sector.
He added that the World Travel Market 2024 will host a range of conferences and discussion sessions covering the latest developments in the global tourism industry, including digital innovations, sustainable tourism and enhanced travel experiences, with a focus on future trends in the industry.
