The Summit aims to encourage governments and the private sector to accelerate taking measures that contribute to a transition to a more equitable global economy, based on renewable energy, that can cope with the challenges of climate change. The Summit also aims to make the most of promising global opportunities by boosting  constructive international cooperation between countries, organisations and research institutions.

The Summit recognises the importance of intensifying efforts to deal with the challenge to reduce carbon emissions, to invest in renewable energy and green hydrogen and to encourage innovation to achieve growth and stability.
