Oman at Berlin International Tourism Fair

The Sultanate of Oman concluded its participation in the Berlin International Tourism Fair (ITB) 2025 by signing several agreements and launching partnership programmes between the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and tourism bodies and institutions from various countries.

These initiatives aim to offer joint tourism packages and to implement programmes that contribute to a sustained flow of tourism.

Tourism partners held a series of meetings and bilateral discussions with their counterparts from international companies. They discussed ways to implement joint programmes to attract a variety of global markets to Oman, aiming to empower the tourism sector with attractive incentives.

Participating institutions showcased their plans and programmes to boost tourist inflow by presenting the diverse tourism services on offer. They also outlined the facilities available to visitors and the services provided by hotels, resorts and integrated tourism complexes.

The plans of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for this year will focus on participating in global events and activities to strengthen its presence in international markets. This is in line with the Ministry's strategy to achieve the goals of  Oman Vision 2040 which prioritises economic diversification and the enhancement of the tourism sector as a key economic activity.

The Ministry also aims to open new tourism representation offices in strategic markets such as China, Russia, Spain, Latin American countries, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

It will connect with more than 80 global tourism companies to implement joint promotional campaigns targeting key markets.

It also plans to launch promotional advertising campaigns on public transport, in shopping centres and on roadside billboards. The Ministry will implement more than 50 media campaigns in collaboration with major global media organisations.

Furthermore, it will work with international airlines and several Gulf-based airlines to organise joint promotional campaigns and arrange more than 100 familiarisation trips for tourism company representatives and the media.
