Oman and the Netherlands discuss relations and regional developments

Khalid Al Muslahi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, received in Muscat, Marcel de Vink, Director General of Political Affairs of the Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations, with both sides keen to enhance cooperation in various fields.

The meeting also discussed regional developments and the efforts being made to contain the current escalation in the region. There was agreement on the necessity of working to stop the brutal war launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip and the urgent need to enable relief aid of various to enter the Strip.

The meeting was attended from Oman by Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Department of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Neighbouring Countries; Ambassador Munther Almandhari, Head of the Europe Department, as well a number of Foreign Ministry officials.

From the Netherlands, it was attended by Stella Kloth, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Oman, and members of the delegation accompanying Mr de Vink.
