Oman and Tanzania establish investment fund
A mutual investment fund between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Republic of Tanzania is to be established.
The announcement comes within the framework of the visit of President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania to Oman and the directives of the two countries’ leaderships in boosting economic, business and investment relations.
The fund will invest in projects of value in various sectors, including agriculture, fishing and mining.
An agreement was also initialed between the Omani and Tanzanian governments on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion with respect to taxes on income.
