Oman and Switzerland hold political consultations

A session of political consultations  between the Sultanate of Oman and the Swiss Confederation took place in Muscat today.

The Omani side was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while the Swiss side was led by Ambassador Maya Tissafi, head of the Middle East and North Africa Division of the Swiss Federal Foreign Ministry.

The consultations discussed bilateral relations with both sides emphasising their desire to develop relations further. International and regional developments of common concern were also discussed.

The session was attended by Ambassador Mundhir Almandhari, Head of the European Department of the Sultanate's Foreign Ministry  and Thomas Oertle, Switzerland's Ambassador to Oman, as well as officials from both sides.
