Oman and Solomon Islands establish diplomatic relations
The establishment of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Solomon Islands has been announced in New York.
The announcement followed a meeting yesterday (September 19th) between Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, and Jeremiah Manele, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Solomon Islands.
The two ministers expressed their common desire to encourage more diplomatic communication, trade and economic cooperation, to develop friendly relations between the two countries and peoples and to exchange expertise.
They signed a statement establishing diplomatic relations at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations in New York.
