Oman and Pakistan hold official talks
The eighth round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was held in Muscat.
The Omani delegation was headed by Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Almaskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's GCC Department, while the Pakistani delegation was headed by Shehryar Akbar Khan, Assistant Secretary of the Pakistan Foreign Ministry.
Relations between the two friendly countries were discussed with the emphasis on their keenness to continue developing cooperation in all fields. A number of regional and international issues were also discussed.
In the context of strengthening relations, Pakistan confirmed its decision to exempt Omani citizens from obtaining prior travel visas and to grant them an entry visa at the airport with a valid residency of 90 days.
Oman's delegates expressed their appreciation of the move which will enhance exchange visits.
The session was attended by Oman's Ambassador to Pakistan, Fahad Sulaiman Khalf Alkharusi; Pakistan's Ambassador to Oman, Muhammad Imran Ali Chaudhry, and a number of officials from both sides.
