Oman and Norway hold political consultations

The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Norway held their third session of political consultations in Muscat today.

The Omani representation was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while the Norwegian representation was headed by Andreas Kravik, State Secretary of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry.

The meeting reviewed the good relations between Oman and Norway, with agreement on a shared keenness to continue developing cooperation in all fields.

A number of regional and international issues of common interest were also discussed, including the repercussions of the Israeli war on Gaza.

The session was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Humaid Almaani, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Global Affairs Department; Ambassador Munther Almandhari, Head of the Europe Department; Thomas Lid Ball, Norway's Ambassador to Oman; Kjersti Tromsdal, Norway’s Special Envoy to Yemen, as well as officials from both Oman and Norway.
