Oman and Iraq review strong relations

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met today with Dr Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, at the headquarters of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baghdad.

The meeting, which was also attended by Omani and Iraqi officials, reviewed the strong relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Iraq. It explored ways to enhance those relations and to develop them in various fields for mutual benefit.

Oman and Iraq review strong relations

The Ministers exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest, reaffirming the commitment of both governments to support efforts to achieve fair and peaceful political solutions to ongoing conflicts in the region.

They emphasised the importance of reducing tensions and escalation to achieve security and stability, and of fostering progress, prosperity, and comprehensive economic development for all nations.
