Oman – Iran Strategic Consultation Committee meets

The 9th session of the Strategic Consultation Committee between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Muscat today.

The Omani side was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Iranian side was chaired by Dr Ali Bagheri, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs.

The session discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in various areas. The two sides also exchanged views on a set of regional and global issues of common concern.

The session was also attended by a number of officials from both sides.
