Oman and Iran hold political talks in Muscat

 An official session of talks was held at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat today between the Sultanate and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Under Secretary for Diplomatic Affairs whilst the Iranian side was chaired by His Excellency Ali Asghar Khaji, Senior Assistant to the Foreign Minister in Special Political Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Foreign Ministry.

The talks reviewed aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries and stressed keenness on enhancing them in different areas.

The two sides also exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of common concern. The session was attended by Ali Najafi, Ambassador of Iran to the Sultanate, and a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry.
