Oman and Egypt discuss trade cooperation

Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, received Badr Abdelatty, Foreign Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt during his visit to Muscat.

Oman and Egypt discuss increased trade cooperation

The Ministers reviewed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade and investment. They emphasised the importance of activating the role of the Omani Egyptian Business Council as a key platform to support economic relations.

The Ministers considered ways to boost trade by diversifying traded products, opening up new opportunities in various economic sectors.

The discussions also addressed strengthening joint investments and encouraging private sector institutions in both countries to explore promising investment opportunities.

The meeting also focused on enhancing integration in the logistics sector, including the development of maritime corridors between the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt

The meeting was attended by Dr Saleh bin Said Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Khalid Mohamed Abdul Halim Rady, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Oman, and various officials.
