Oman and Cyprus hold political consultations
The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Cyprus today held their third round of political consultations in the capital city of Nicosia.
The session was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Diplomatic Undersecretary at the Foreign Ministry and Kornelios Korneliou, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cyprus.
On the sidelines of the session, the two ministries signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the fields of diplomatic studies and training. The MoU was inked by the two countries’ heads of delegations.
The Undersecretary also held a meeting with Ioannis Kasoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, on issues that serve bilateral relations between the two countries.
Sheikh Khalifa also met with Evgenios Evgeniou, Chairman of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency. They discussed opportunities to attract investment and ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides within the framework of Oman Vision 2040.
The consultation session and meetings were attended by Mohammed Abdullah Al Nahdi, Ambassador of Oman to Cyprus, and Ambassador Zainab Ali Al Qasimi, Head of the Diplomatic Institute.
