Oman and China discuss strengthening strategic relations

The Sultanate of Oman and the People’s Republic of China held the fourteenth round of strategic consultations in Beijing.

Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, led the Omani delegation. The Assistant Foreign Minister of China, Liu Bin, led the Chinese delegation.

Oman and China discuss strengthening strategic relations

They discussed bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields and ways to strengthen strategic relations between the two friendly countries in all areas. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues.

During the visit, Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy also met Zhai Jun, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue, and Zhang Xiaoqiang, Executive Vice Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges and Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission.

They discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation and commercial and investment exchanges between the two friendly countries.

The Omani delegation included Nasser Mohammed Albusaidi, Oman's Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to China, Sheikh Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Hosni, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Asia and Pacific Department, and officials from both countries.
