Oman affirms its solidarity with Palestinian cause

The Sultanate of Oman affirmed its unwavering support for the justice of the Palestinian cause, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which falls on November 29th each year.

To mark the day the United Nations opened an exhibition at the UN headquarters in New York titled “Palestine: A Land with A People.”

The exhibit commemorates the Palestinian Nakba (meaning catastrophe), a deeply traumatic event, which took place during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war, when more than half of the Palestinian people were expelled from, or fled their homes during violence and war from 1947 to 1949.

The exhibition serves as a reminder that close to six million Palestinians remain refugees to this day, scattered throughout the region.
