Official reception ceremony for His Majesty in Germany

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik was accorded an official reception today at the Bellevue presidential Palace in Berlin on the occasion of his visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.

Upon His Majesty's arrival at Bellevue Palace, he was received by the German President Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who led the welcoming party.

President Steinmeier accompanied His Majesty to the Dais of Honour, where the Royal Anthem of Oman and the German National Anthem were played.

His Majesty, accompanied by His Excellency the President, then went to inspect the guard of honour, which saluted His Majesty.

His Majesty the Sultan then shook hands with senior members of the German welcoming party, while President Steinmeier welcomed the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan.

His Majesty the Sultan and the German President then held a one-to-one meeting at Bellevue Palace.
