OCCI signs agreement to support SMEs
The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has signed three cooperation agreements with various private sector companies.
The agreements aim to support and sustain projects among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Oman.
Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the OCCI Board, said that the agreements will allow entrepreneurs to benefit from the products, systems and training programmes offered by these companies. He highlighted the importance of cooperation among Omani private sector companies to support entrepreneurs in Oman.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Amer Al Musalhi, Chairman of the SME Committee at OCCI, explained that these agreements are part of the Chamber's efforts to support SMEs, enabling them to achieve sustainable growth and to develop mechanisms to bring their products and services to both domestic and international markets. This is in line with the Chamber’s mission to empower the private sector.
He added that these agreements provide SMEs with greater opportunities to network and collaborate with various economic bodies and to learn from their expertise.
He noted that the OCCI's SME Committee is preparing to launch several initiatives to further support this sector, including the “Sustain My Enterprise” programme and the “My Share” social investment platform,
