Oman's Foreign Minister holds talks with Russian Foreign Minister

Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, today held a session of official talks with Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, during Mr Lavrov’s visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

The two sides reviewed the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, affirming the joint interest in developing and strengthening them in various fields.

The two sides also discussed current developments on a number of regional and international issues and exchanged views on them. The two sides stressed the importance of dialogue and cooperation to find diplomatic solutions to various issues, supporting all efforts that aim to promote security, stability and peace in the region and the world while developing opportunities for growth and prosperity.

The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Ambassador Khalid Al-Muslahi, Head of the Minister's Office Department and a number of Foreign Ministry officials. From the Russian side they were attended by Ilya Morgunov, Russian Ambassador to Oman and members of the delegation accompanying the visiting minister.
