Minister meets Prime Minister of Bhutan and Foreign and Trade Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan, as part of his official visit to the country.

During the meeting, the Ministers reviewed ties between the two countries and explored ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in economic, trade and investment sectors.

Both Ministers underscored the importance of exchanges between businesspeople and investors to strengthen economic partnerships and open up broader prospects for constructive cooperation between the two friendly countries.

They also discussed potential cooperation in the fields of technology and renewable energy, with a focus on exchanging expertise in these vital sectors to support sustainable development in both countries.

Sayyid Badr also met with Lyonpo D. N. Dhungyel, Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance diplomatic cooperation and to exchange support on issues of mutual interest at both regional and international levels.

The Ministers discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, education and tourism, as well as ways to strengthen cultural and knowledge exchange between the two countries, with a view to deepening bilateral relations and strengthening  ties between the two friendly peoples.

Both meetings were attended by Abdulsalam Almurshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Sheikh Abdulaziz Alhinai, Oman's Ambassador at large; and Issa Alshibani, Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of India and non-resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bhutan, along with a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry.
