Tunisia: Embassy coordinates Economy Minister's visit to Oman
At the invitation of Dr Said bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy and with the coordination and follow-up of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Tunisia, Samir Saeed, Minister of Economy and Planning of the Republic of Tunisia, made a working visit to the Sultanate.
During his visit Minister Saeed met with Dr Said bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy; Sultan Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion; Dr Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources; Dr Ali Al Sunaidi, Chairman of the General Authority for Special Economic and Free Zones; Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, and Mulham bin Bashir Al Jarf, Vice President of the Oman Investment Authority.
These meetings, explored ways to enhance trade exchange and investment opportunities in Oman and Tunisia. The Tunisian minister was accompanied by a delegation from the government sector and business leaders from various commercial and industrial sectors, tourism, energy, logistics services and others.
During the visit of the Tunisian delegation, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) organised the Omani-Tunisian Business Forum, headed by Sheikh Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, and attended by the Tunisian Minister as well as a number of Omani business owners and their Tunisian counterparts.
