Oman and India hold political talks session
The 12th session of political talks between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India took place in Muscat today.
The Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Indian side was headed by Ausaf Sayeed, Secretary of Consular, Passport, Visa and Overseas Indian Affairs.
During the session, the two sides stressed the progress in bilateral relations and the importance of enhancing these in all spheres. They also explored business and investment opportunities.
The two sides also discussed various consular matters and reviewed Oman’s participation as a guest of honour in the G20 meetings headed by India this year.
The session was attended by Amit Narang, India's Ambassador to Oman; Sheikh Hamad Saif Al Rawahi, Head of the Oman Foreign Ministry's International Cooperation Department and a number of officials from both sides.
