New York: Oman concerned over rise in global military spending

Oman has expressed deep concern over the growing trend of increased spending on global military arsenals.

In a statement delivered by Second Secretary Issam Alibrahim from Oman’s delegation to the United Nations before the UN's First Committee on Disarmament and International Security, Oman called for the need to strengthen national commitments towards disarmament and non-proliferation systems to end wars and uphold global peace and security.
