New York: Oman appreciates support initiative for Yemen

The Sultanate of Oman has reaffirmed its position in support of a peaceful solution to the Yemeni crisis, in a way that preserves Yemen's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In a statement delivered by the Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations, during a meeting called by the UK delegation at the United Nations headquarters in New York, Oman appreciated the international efforts of the “Technical Support Fund for Yemen” (TAFFY) launched by the United Kingdom to provide financial and political support for Yemen’s future. The initiative aims to bring the international community together to support governance in Yemen.

The statement re affirmed the Sultanate's commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in Yemen.
