Oman chairs GCC Foreign Ministers meeting in New York
In preparation for the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, chaired a coordination meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) at the headquarters of the Permanent Delegation of the Sultanate of Oman in New York,
The meeting focussed on exchanging views and coordinating positions for joint meetings that the GCC states will be holding with various countries and regional groupings in New York on the sidelines of the General Assembly.
These meetings will aim to advance common interests and support shared goals in consolidating and spreading security and stability. The hope is to achieve benefits in various areas of cooperation and to support efforts to find peaceful solutions to key regional issues and global challenges.
