Bilateral relations

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Kenya was established in 1976 and re-launched in 2013.

Oman enjoys good, solid relations with the East African nations, rooted in the bonds of shared history and consolidated by the mutual benefits and extensive relations which link the two sides.

These relations are strengthened by working together to enhance them in multiple aspects.

The location of the two countries on the Indian Ocean with its vast waters teeming with tremendous wealth, has given these relations a special, additional advantage through cooperation on the blue economy and its sustainable marine and development resources.

The investment in these shared values and common denominators emboldens us to work enthusiastically with our friends in the Republic of Kenya to promote these ties and so maximise the mutual benefits, fostering partnerships to serve our common interests.
