Foreign Minister meets Mauritanian employers’ leader
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met today with Mohamed Zain El Abidine Sheikh Ahmed, President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, at the Union's headquarters in Nouakchott.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Mauritania and explored prospects for increasing joint investments in vital sectors in both countries.
The two sides also discussed opportunities to encourage businesspeople to establish partnerships and exchange expertise in areas of mutual interest, benefiting both countries and their peoples.
The Foreign Minister affirmed Oman's commitment to developing its trade and economic relations with Mauritania, praising the promising opportunities in Mauritanian sectors such as energy, mining, tourism, agriculture, and livestock and fisheries.
The President of the Union, for his part, welcomed the enhancement of economic cooperation with Oman, confirming the Union's readiness to overcome any obstacles or challenges that Omani companies might face in Mauritania.
