Ministry promotes innovation and digital transformation

The Smart Embassies and Continuous Improvement Hackathon, organised by the Foreign Ministry, has begun, aiming to enhance innovation and digital transformation in Omani Embassies abroad.

The Hackathon features an intensive five day programme, including specialised workshops, mentoring sessions with experts in innovation and technology. and presentations of creative projects designed to turn ideas into actionable solutions.

Through the event, the Ministry is seeking to foster a culture of continuous improvement and creativity within the diplomatic work environment.

The Hackathon focuses on several key areas, such as improving consular services through digital transformation, enhancing cybersecurity in Embassies, developing comprehensive platforms for digital communication, and effectively managing resources to reduce waste and increase efficiency. The programme aims to deliver innovative solutions that contribute to the Ministry's strategic objectives and raise the quality of services provided.
