Minister receives Egyptian Foreign Minister
Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, received Badr Abdelatty, Foreign Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat.
The Ministers reviewed the long standing, brotherly relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
They reaffirmed their mutual desire to strengthen cooperation across various political, economic and cultural areas, to serve the shared interests of both countries.
The Ministers also discussed international issues of common interest. These included the current situation in the region and its escalating challenges, with a focus on developments around the Palestinian cause and efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.
Both Ministers stressed the importance of dialogue as a means to achieve stability and their support of international efforts aimed at finding peaceful and sustainable solutions to conflicts. In turn, these efforts would ensure security and development for the peoples of the region, in adherence to the principles of international law and respect for the sovereignty of states.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs; Khalid Mohamed Abdul Halim Rady, Egypt’s Ambassador to Oman, and a number of officials.
