Minister holds talks with Iranian counterpart in Tehran

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held talks in the Iranian capital, Tehran, with Dr Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The two Ministers  discussed the strong relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran and explored ways to enhance these ties across various fields.

The discussions also addressed regional and international issues and developments, foremost among them the Palestinian cause and the situation in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Syria.

Both delegations underscored the importance of supporting efforts to promote stability and advance political solutions that ensure security, peace, and the restoration of stability across the region.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the Ministry's Department for the Gulf Cooperation Council and Region; Ibrahim bin Ahmed Almuaini, Oman’s Ambassador to Iran; and a number of officials from both Oman and Iran.
