Media Communication Centre staff complete training course
Employees of the Media Communication Center at the Foreign Ministry have completed a course at the Diplomatic Academy to develop their skills in the field of media, new media and political media.
The 10-day course was staged in cooperation with a number of parties related to the fields of media. Participants acquired a variety of basic skills and concepts to help them improve their performance in the field of media.
Topics covered by the course also included: analysing and understanding the performance of new media, disseminating information and communicating with the public, news writing, and how to verify the authenticity of information and deal with fake news.
The course also focused on the basics of political media, its role in shaping public opinion and conveying political events objectively and professionally. It also covered analysing political news and the role of the media in shaping political awareness.
Marwan bin Yousef Albalushi, Head of the Media Communication Centre, said he was happy at the successful conclusion of the course, stressing the importance of building national competencies and working to develop the capabilities and skills of staff in various fields.
The Foreign Ministry, represented by the Media Communication Centre and the Diplomatic Academy, plans to organise more training courses in the future to enhance the skills of the work team and to keep pace with the rapid developments in the field of media and politics.
