Oman at Antalya Diplomatic Forum
Oman's Foreign Ministry represented the Sultanate at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, in Turkey.
The Forum, entitled “Strengthening Diplomacy in Times of Crisis,” was hosted by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey.
Oman's delegation was headed by Sheikh Abdulaziz Alhinai, the Foreign Ministry's Ambassador at Large.
During a meeting on the sidelines of the forum, Ambassador Alhinai conveyed the greetings of Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi to Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister of Turkey,
This year's Forum is seeking to formulate new diplomatic mechanisms to overcome the current global and regional turmoil related to ongoing wars and conflicts. There is a particular focus on the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza, terrorism, migration, Islamophobia, the dangers of artificial intelligence, climate change, natural disasters and epidemics.
22 heads of state and government, 80 ministers, including 66 foreign ministers, representatives of governments, international organisations and business leaders are taking part in the forum.
