Bilateral relations
Relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Kuwait are of ancient origin. These deep historical relations achieve the level of partnership in many fields.
Through the implementation of the directives of the wise leadership of the two countries, these bilateral relations have been able to respond over the past years and decades to the aspirations of the Omani and Kuwaiti peoples in all areas.
Consular services
The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Kuwait provides a number of consular services which include:
- Issue of tourist and commercial visas (For more general information please click here)
- Completion of attestation of documents of all kinds (civil and commercial)
- Issue of laissez-passer for citizens whose passports have expired or whose passports have been lost, as well as for newborns and some other cases (For further general information please click here)
- Follow-up on the interests of citizens Omanis residing in the State of Kuwait in cooperation with the relevant Kuwaiti authorities. (For further general information please click here)

The aims of Oman’s Mission to Kuwait include:
- Promoting political and diplomatic cooperation
- Facilitating trade and investment between the two countries
- Promoting cultural, educational, and scientific exchanges
Political and diplomatic cooperation
The Sultanate of Oman and the sisterly State of Kuwait are working together to build strong bilateral relations. The Sultanate is also committed to working with Kuwait to achieve peace, stability and prosperity in the region and throughout the world.
Trade and investment
In the commercial and investment fields, the Embassy works to activate the agreements signed with the State of Kuwait and to build sustainable and mutually beneficial trade and investment partnerships.
The Embassy also works to promote trade and to establish investment projects between the two countries by coordinating with official bodies and the private sector.
Cultural, educational and scientific exchanges
The Embassy is keen to strengthen relations between Oman and Kuwait in the artistic and cultural fields.
There is an exchange of academic missions between institutions of higher education in both countries. The Mission also works to encourage cooperation between scientific and literary bodies in the two countries.
