Kazakhstan: Oman Embassy holds reception

Ambassador Mohammed bin Abdullah Albahrani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a reception on the occasion of the fifty-third National Day.

The ceremony was attended by Alibek Gamaov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kazakh government, representatives of the Kazakh Parliament, Ambassadors in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps, military attachés, representatives of international, governmental and private organisations, university presidents and professors and business executives.

During the event a documentary about the advance of the blessed Renaissance was shown and information about Oman in English was offered. A special display on Omani hospitality traditions was also unveiled.

The Ambassador said that Oman has always celebrated its National Day in remembrance of the past, living with the present and drawing inspiration for the future. He said the aim is to mobilise inspiration and uphold values, while renewing national action in various fields. He  added that the Sultanate seeks to serve the causes of security and peace at the regional and international levels.

In his speech the Ambassador also praised the depth of the distinguished relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the friendly Republic of Kazakhstan, stressing that they are based on mutual respect and common interests. He said relations are constantly developing in various fields in order to achieve common ambitions.
