The Embassy, through Oman’s Foreign Ministry, works to strengthen ties of cooperation and to consolidate the existing friendly relations between the Sultanate and Indonesia.
This page allows users to view information about bilateral relations between Oman and Indonesia. It also provides information about ways to communicate with the Embassy and to access the services it provides. It also provides links to other important sites.

Bilateral relations
Diplomatic relations between the two countries began in 1977. In 2000 Oman opened a representative office in Jakarta. At the end of 2010 Indonesia officially opened the Embassy of Indonesia in Muscat. Then in 2013 Oman inaugurated the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Jakarta.
Consular services
The Embassy provides a range of consular services which include:
- Visa services – Indonesian citizens can obtain a visa to visit Oman on arrival or via the e visa portal (https://evisa.rop.gov.om/home)

Key objectives
The aims of Oman's mission to Indonesia include:
- Promoting political and diplomatic cooperation.
- Facilitating trade and investment between the two countries.
- Promoting cultural, educational and scientific exchanges.
- Working with the Republic of Indonesia to promote multilateral solutions, based on dialogue, to pursue peace and stability both regionally and globally.
- Working to spread awareness of Oman Vision 2040, as well as the favourable tax regulations and foreign investment law that make Oman an attractive business destination for Indonesian investors.
Culture and tourism
Oman works to promote cultural understanding and mutually beneficially partnerships with Indonesia.
The Embassy works to promote tourism between the two countries through cultural exchanges and other projects.
The Embassy is always looking for further opportunities for Omani tourists in Indonesia and Indonesian tourists in Oman.
