Omani efforts result in release of Iranian and Swedish nationals

In compliance with the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, and in response to the requests of the Iranian and Swedish governments for assistance in resolving the issue of their detained nationals, Omani efforts have led to an agreement between the two governments for a mutual release.

The released individuals were transferred from Tehran and Stockholm to Muscat today in preparation for their return to their respective countries.

The Sultanate of Oman appreciates the positive spirit that prevailed during the discussions in Muscat between the Iranian and Swedish sides and their commitment to resolving this humanitarian issue.
