India: Embassy organises cultural symposium to mark 70 years of diplomatic ties

As part of the celebrations marking 70 years of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India, the Embassy of Oman in New Delhi organised a cultural and historical symposium in collaboration with Jamia Millia Islamia University.

The event aimed to highlight the depth of Oman India relations and shared cultural and historical cooperation.

The symposium was attended by Indian officials, former Indian ambassadors to Oman, a distinguished group of academics and international relations experts, as well as students and researchers interested in the shared history of the two countries.

Discussions covered key milestones in Oman India relations and the impact of cultural and historical exchanges in strengthening bilateral ties.

Speakers also explored future opportunities for expanding cooperation across various fields, reflecting the countries' shared history and common vision for deeper partnership and integration.

This event was part of a series of initiatives and programmes organised by Omani diplomatic missions to enhance cultural and diplomatic engagement and highlight the strong relations between Oman and its international partners.
