Oman affirms firm stance rejecting attempts to displace Palestinian people
The Sultanate of Oman affirms its unwavering stance and categorical rejection of any attempts to displace the population of the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Oman also calls for the need to respect the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights to establish their independent state on their land.
In an official statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, the Sultanate of Oman warns that any plans aimed at transferring Palestinians from their lands constitute a flagrant violation of international law and legitimate international resolutions. It adds that such action constitutes a threat to security and stability in the region.
Oman calls upon the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in protecting the rights of the Palestinian people. It underlines the necessity of reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, based on legitimate international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative – a solution that ensures the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Al Quds A’Sharqiyah (East Jerusalem) as its capital.
