His Majesty visits music centre in Belgium
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, accompanied by King Philippe, King of the Belgians and his spouse Queen Mathilde, Queen of the Belgians, visited the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in the Wallonia region, as part of his state visit to Belgium.
The Chapel is a prestigious, international centre for the artistic education of young musicians.
On the arrival of the motorcade of His Majesty and the King, the visitors were received by the Governor of the Walloon Region and the Mayor of Namur city.
His Majesty was briefed on the Music Chapel and its role in disseminating artistic culture. His Majesty then listened to a number of musical pieces being played.
After that, a private luncheon was held at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in honour of His Majesty, in the presence of the King and Queen of the Belgians.
After lunch, His Majesty presented the centre with a gift of a musical instrument.
