His Majesty to make state visit to Jordan

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said will pay a state visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on Wednesday.

The visit was announced in a statement issued by the Diwan of Royal Court today which reads as follows: “In confirmation of the bonds of mutual brotherhood and deep-rooted relations that exist between the Sultanate of Oman and the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and a translation of the keenness of their leaderships to consolidate and strengthen them and to achieve the goals of the two countries, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said will pay a state visit starting on Wednesday, the 22nd of May 2024, in response to the invitation from His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein.

“During the visit, His Majesty will discuss with His Majesty the King the existing paths of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and opportunities for their growth and development in ways that serve their aspirations.

“They will also discuss various issues and developments on the regional and international arenas and how to strengthen joint Arab action.

“During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation comprising His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; and Oman's Ambassador to Jordan, Fahad Abdul Rahman Alojaili.”
