His Majesty holds phone call with Italian Prime Minister

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a telephone call with Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic.

The call reviewed the friendship and cooperation between Oman and Italy and affirmed the importance of strengthening ties across various fields to serve mutual interests.

His Majesty and the Prime Minister also exchanged  views on a number of regional and international issues, foremost among them the ongoing talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America.

The Prime Minister expressed her country's appreciation for the important role played by the Sultanate of Oman in building bridges of communication and promoting dialogue and diplomacy, contributing to the consolidation of security and stability in the region and the wider world.

His Majesty expressed his appreciation to the friendly Italian government for the facilitaties it provided, which played a key role in holding the second round of negotiations in Rome last Saturday.
