His Majesty receives World Bank President

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received the President of the World Bank Group, Ajay Banga, at Al Baraka Palace.

The meeting discussed economic and development topics, as well as cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the World Bank.

The discussion also covered recent developments in Oman’s economic development, exploring ways to expand the scope of partnership with the World Bank, particularly in areas such as knowledge exchange, capacity building, and supporting the bank’s role and initiatives in the region.

The meeting was attended by Dr Saud Al Habsi, Minister of Finance.
