His Majesty receives phone call from King of Sweden

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a phone call from His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of the Kingdom of Sweden.

During the call, the King of Sweden expressed his sincere thanks to His Majesty the Sultan for the efforts made by Oman in facilitating the understandings between his country and the Islamic Republic of Iran to secure the release of two Swedish citizens and to return them to their homeland. He also appreciated the positive role Oman plays in resolving various international issues peacefully, through dialogue.

During the call the two leaders also reviewed the strong relations between Oman and Sweden and exchanged views on regional developments of mutual interest.
