His Majesty receives a message from the Emir of Kuwait

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a written message from his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of the sisterly State of Kuwait.

The message concerned an invitation to attend the 45th Summit of the leaders of the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), scheduled to be held in Kuwait in December.

The message was received by Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi during a meeting this evening with the Kuwaiti Emir’s envoy, Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al Yahya, Foreign Minister of Kuwait.

During their meeting the Ministers discussed relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them in various fields. They also discussed regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the Ministry's Department for the GCC and region; Dr Mohammed Al Hajri, Ambassador of Kuwait to Oman; and several officials from Oman and Kuwait.
